RATIONALISM – AN INTRODUCTION

Conflict is inherent is social relations.  As we go about our everyday business of trade and consumption, we inevitably engage in conflict with our neighbor.  This conflict is hardly a new concept.  Conflict has been ripe since the beginning of time whether one looks at Biblical literature or philosophical literature.  In order to subdue the conflict, law and order has been considered by many a philosopher and priest.   As the organization of large masses is difficult, church and state have had their fair share of conflict.  With all the conflict between different groups of religion, it is difficult to manage the state with church.  The church however has divine law.   Although the credibility of these religions texts can be questioned, they make sense.  Some customs are a little extreme and we have to learn to be tolerant of other cultures in this globalized world.   Law and order is important in any advanced civilization and we need to establish some basic rules for living.  While adhering to social contract, we would still like to maintain some liberties and it ought to be so.

From the Arab spring to the occupy movement, the world has seen many a revolution in embryonic stage.  There has been a lack of leadership, organization and rational philosophical solutions to address the problems of modern day society.  This dissertation aims to fill that gap by providing an elaborate plan to eliminate conflict within social relations.  By addressing church within state, we need to simplify the immense amount of literature available for the layman.  By accommodating all available religious teachings, our goal is to provide a simple set of instructions for all mankind.   As the major battle ove the last half-century has been of an ideological nature, we will concede that free markets will prevail, however we will advocate for some basic human rights, such as a basic sustenance for every human around the globe.  It has been stressed in political articles that democratic states are generally more peaceful and hence our utopia will be democratic.  As idealists, we will also be advocating for a world federation of states to escape the Hobbesian jungle.  Finally, revenge is considered sin and trespass shall be punished.

WAY OF LIFE

As this is a rational assessment, we will discard delusions such as the big bang theory and accept that God exists.  If we acknowledge God, we need a purpose of life, which is available in Hindu and Buddhist scriptures.  We are made up of not only mind and body, but also soul.   Our souls are not ready to sit in heaven next to God.   Our souls need to be put through the tests of mortality.  It is only after a few lives, in different bodies, human and animal, after proving our soul worthy of heaven, that we may escape rebirth and enter heaven.  If our soul has the evil streak, then regression along the hierarchy of life.   The good ascend, the evil regress.   The goal is to escape this life of suffering.  Our lives are filled with desire and this desire brings upon suffering.  Although the yogi practices renunciation and abstinence, we are not all able to do so.  In the modern world we have become accustomed to a certain dialectical materialism, which brings about a certain happiness.  Pleasure our goal; happiness our destination.

THOU SHALL NOT KILL

Thou shall not kill was in the Old Testament, but was misunderstood.  There should be no distinction between man and beast.  The commandment not to kill is to be applied across the board, for chicken, lamb, beef and fish.  The Koran does not condone the killing of animals, however has passages outlining the way in which animals are to be killed out of necessity of hunger.   In modern society, with the luxury of industrialization, there is no longer a need to kill animals for food.  We have more than enough technology to farm and package greens, fruit and vegetable and grain for food and drink.  The Vedas explicitly denounce the killing of animals.  Hindu civilization and enlightenment dates back further than any other religions or enlightenment philosophies.  Killing of animals is a sin and is punished by God.  The desire for meat brings upon lifetime upon lifetime of suffering in infinite regression.  The goal of life is to escape rebirth at deaths.   An Almighty Lord gave us life and we have to resign the liberty of killing for the opportunity to sit next to God in heaven.

If not for religious sentiment, then for rational morality.   There is no good reason to kill an animal for food, when in fact we share so much in common.  We, man and beast, have blood.   We have similar forms of mating and conception.  Animals too have feelings of love and family.   It is evident from experience with family pets that animals too have the power to think.  Our grasp it script is what has differentiated is from beast.   Our opposable thumb and our speech patterns have enabled us to live fairly complex lives.  It is this superiority that we have over the beast that should control our beastly nature to kill for a meal.   Genesis too explicitly states that the Lord has given us dominion over earth.  We have been given superior abilities to rule over all the beasts on earth.   With this God given right, there is no need to kill fowl or fish, lamb or cow.  These animals are our subjects and as our subjects, have to be cared for by us.   A good king reigns with love.

THOU SHALL NOT COVET

It is a pity that the concept of ‘scarcity’ has not been vanquished.  We live in a world where we are able to have anything we wish for, but due to conflict, an issue that has a correlation to envy, do not.   Envy is a sin in the Bible.   Coveting thy neighbors’ wife, ox or abode is a sin.   In this industrialized world we need not covet as we can have, yet due to problems of organization, we are in a position where for some time still, every human may not be able to fulfill every desire.  As per Hindu and Buddhist teachings, desire brings upon suffering and should therefore be avoided.  Desire in moderation is acceptable as it is difficult to shun all these luxuries of modern life and meditate in a cave like the monks.   That would be considered extreme.  Yet it is through desire that brings forth the sin of coveting.   This is not a new concept.   It existed back 2000 years ago when Jesus was around, Moses knew about it and so did the ancient elite of Hindustan.  We have to be able to coexist with our neighbors who might seem to have it all.

Our assets and pleasures that we indulge in today are not requirements of eternity.  Eternity is discussed in the Old Testament, the new one, and the Koran, Hindu and Buddhist scriptures.   We have an eternity.  There is no concept of time in heaven.   Death of the body, but the soul lives on.   Even the ancient Bible agrees upon an eternity.   The understanding of eternity may be different in different groups around the globe, but we all agree that there is something after death.  The good go to heaven, by escaping rebirth.  Why live the suffering of life in another body for centuries on end.  God will give us everything as long as we are good.   The desire for wife, ox and abode will be the work of the Almighty Lord.  Desire is acceptable, as long as it is moderate, does not interface with the liberties of our neighbors and does not breach the philosophy of right thought, right action.

RIGHT THOUGHT; RIGHT ACTION

This is the way of life.  We are a family of seven billion.  We have chosen to compete in the free markets.  This is not the right way, however the great Buddha has preached that tolerance is the key of happiness.  As our goal is happiness, we have to sell our labour to enjoy the luxuries we are dependent on.  We do not all want shelter.  We need it.  We must pay for the luxury of electricity for refrigeration, telecommunications, and the miracle of light.   As electricity is the future of personal transport, it is a necessity.   We also need food and water.   More bills.   Hence we have to contribute our fair share of labour to pay for our withdrawal from the economy.  The mechanics of the free market, the invisible hand has been seen as the best way for the people to have as much choice in abundance.  The key words are free choice.  Now we have to use our intellect to moderate our consumption and behavior.  Our entry to heaven is dependent on our thought and action.

The teachings of the Koran forbid the passions of alcohol and drugs as they are seen as a sinful intoxication.  I would call that extreme as the greatest philosopher of the west, Freud enjoyed coke, cigars and whisky.  He too, agreed on the restriction of sexual pleasures as they create more problems than the happiness that is derived from the two seconds of ecstasy.   Lust is vice and the burkah can be seen as a solution as the woman’s body is erotic to any man.  Some wish to sun bake nude, other desire a massage with a happy ending; the key is tolerance.  Sexual ethic is personal and in a free world, we have the freedom of sexual choice, however it has to be remembered that the great philosophers have all shunned it.  The Hindu temples and caves are however another story.  Once again tolerance is the key in this modern world.  Why kill the cow when it can feed upon.  Why kill the lamb when it can clothe upon.   Yes, you have the choice.  Moderate your intake.  Sexual intercourse is not evil; killing an animal is evil.  The desire to interfere in another’s liberty of life needs serious thought.

LIBERTIES

We live in a unipolar world.   I cannot assess whether or not this is a good thing, however I am happy.  The social problems that we see in societies that are advanced technologically, the west if you may, are a result of over indulging in our free choice.  We have the choice to eat, drink, smoke, inject, snort and mate whatever we wish.  It is this over consumption of commodities in the free market that leads one down the road of poverty, ill health, and misery.  We are not all murders and envious, however we have to learn to moderate our desires in this free world.  This world that the west has created.  The west have won the cold war as the east have broken up and are not in a position to dictate.  Life in the west is good.  Europe is democratic, free and rich.  Luxuries not afforded in east and south are common play in the west.  It is difficult to assess, but the winner seems to be the USA coalition.  Now we have to bargain a pragmatic social contract that involves freedoms.  We have to moderate the right amount of consumption.  Right thought right action.

FREEDOM OF SPEECH

As long as one does not infringe on the liberty of another, free speech is tolerated.  If one wants to preach the words of Marx or Weber in a free world, it is a freedom of speech.  The west have proven victorious in the battle of supremacy.  Ideologically it may seem flawed to compete however the invisible hand has proved itself successful.  The political elite of the liberal world are able to tolerate peaceful criticism.  Healthy debate leads to reform.  Freedom of speech includes the publishing of books, blogs, music, video articles, flyers and general ranting and raving.  We have this freedom in the west.  It is a good freedom.  As far as freedoms of video goes, we might have to address this issue.  Right thought and right action with tolerance is the only way.  As we want freedoms for ourselves, we are also extending these freedoms to our neighbor.  As we allow the free market of free speech, we encounter all sorts of dilemmas of extreme or niche markets.  Tolerance is the key!

Freedom of speech is tolerated in the extreme west, however we have the dilemma that theist societies, like Iran and communist states like China, do not wish to homogenize and want to preserve their culture.  This wish should be upheld with the utmost respect.  As long as there is social contract within states, the infracture established to trade should not be broken.  The Chinese culture is very deep with ties to ancient kingdoms.  This knowledge that they possess, their culture is of great importance.  Similarly the extreme policies of backward states like Iran should not be dismissed.  We have to learn to be tolerant as the Great Buddha professed.  Right thought and right action will lead to greater happiness.  If we all respected each other liberties, such as liberties to life, wife and speech, there would be less problems in this world, however have to be context if we can secure the right of life.  We have to be tolerant of the liberty of free speech in this digital matrix.

FREEDOM OF RELIGION

We have life.  Hence there must have been a creator.  Whether or not Jesus, Moses and Mohammad are fictional characters of the aristocracy of the times, I cannot tell you.  As there are about half a dozen choices of faiths in the known world, it is a difficult choice to make.  Which philosophy is right is debatable.  Was Jesus messiah, was Mohamed also messiah, is the messiah still coming, I do not know.  It does not matter.  Each have instructions of good life.  In a free world, you have choice.  The advice is given.  Thou shall not kill is in every religion.  Maintain individual liberty, but still allowing for our neighbors liberty as well.  The liberty to life.  This is the only thing that must really be known.  The rest is in moderation.  Moderation in sexual activity.  Moderation in drugs and alcohol is also acceptable in the upper crest of the west.  It is only when we over indulge without a means to source all these desires that a problem arises.  A uniting religion, way of life or philosophy of living, can eradicate all the conflict present today in the known world.

Whether we are descendant of Isaac or Ishmail, it should matter not.  We have no means to verify ‘facts’ of 2000-5000 years ago.  It doesn’t matter.  Whether one is black, brown, yellow or white,it matter not.  Language and culture differ too.  It does not matter.  We are all children of God.  You have the freedom, by all means, to worship a God by the name of Jehovah, or the one by the name of Allah.  Whether it be Buddha or Shiva, it matter not.  As long as you live within the constraints of social contract.  Out social contracts bears us the liberty of free religion, as long as it doesn’t interfere with another’s, liberty for life.  As long as these are no rites of sacrifice within your religion, then you are allowed to practice free religion.  However, you might need an elucidation of your laws.  ‘Thou shall not kill’ means:
-‘no animal shall be killed’
- ‘no blood shall be split’

We are bound by this social contract in dialectal materialism.  Greater happiness for the greater number!

FREEDOM IN THE MARKET

Once again, it is difficult to assess whether it is better or not to let the free market decide who gets what, however the west seems to be better off in more ways than one.  Freedom in the market.  This is a liberty that has held the world in conflict for the past century.  Pure economics. State intervention and control has proved to be stifling for innovation.  The west have more on shelf for the average citizen that the east or south.  It seems that with the means of the invisible hand, we have the opportunity to have greater riches for everyone as the gross domestic product increases exponentially.  There is always growth forecast by economists of the west.  The world economy is growing due to capitalistic free markets.  A billion people in China are employed due to this global invisible hand.  We have the opportunity to purchase German mercs or Japanese camrys.  We can live in an apartment, hostel or house with backyard.  We can choose who we wish to sell our labor to.  We have hoice of education and training institutions, each fighting for your HECS payment.

The inequalities of capitalism that Marx talks of, matter not.  It doesn’t matter that there are only a few wealthy elite that control the world markets.  It could be seen as corporate governance.  We need a means of organization and the free market invisible hand has delivered the global corporation.  Yes, executive staff earn big Bucks.  So what? The theory of motivation dictates that we need a competitive labor market to get more people to study at a tertiary level.  It is difficult to read extensively and write dissertations everyday.  It is difficult to look at corporate accounts and make decision.  The free market corporate culture of the west have their success.  As for the social problems associated with the free market; it is only a small percentage that are suffering in poverty and squalor.  There are solutions that can be formulated to alleviate the sufferings of those disadvantaged however those that are disheveled, do not wish to help themselves as they have resigned their will to live, with the aid of drugs and alcohol, sometimes on the street, suicidal and a threat to the community.  We need to gather and advocate for some basic human rights.

RIGHTS

According to leaders psychologist, Maslow, there are some essentials like security, good health, food, water and air that are required at a base level.  Philosophers like Aristotle have reasoned that happiness is derived from good and the greatest good is knowledge.  Buddhism preaches ignorance brings suffering, while the elite Hindus devoured all the letters, east and west.  As Maslow talks of enlightenment, many others have spoken of a spiritual bliss, a connection to the upper echelon of reason.  This however is only accessible when all the base desires are satisfied.  The ascetics renounce and abstain for bring upon this state of nirvana, however it is difficult and a path to be endeavoured upon after, only after tasting all the riches up on offer.  As the leaders of this unipolar world have chosen to spread their ideals of a free democratic world where competition in the market is considered what ought to be done, this chapter makes an effort to reconcile the extreme philosophies of communism and socialism with that of neoliberalism.

BASIC SUSTENANCE

Desire brings upon suffering and the extreme yogi would starve in pursuit of enlightenment, however this is not the path for the many.  We have seen the great west prevail in an ideological conflict that spanned seven decades.  We now have the task of formulating and summoning adherence to a social contract binding the world over.  In our search for a global peace, a place where the free market can operate without hindrance, we need to iron out the indifference held by a small portion of society.  There are inevitably some losers of the capitalistic system.  There was bound to be.  Some people gamble their life savings on a brilliant idea.  Some people lose their job in the downsizing of western labor markets and increase in global outsourcing.  Whatever the case may be, there has to be a basic sustenance allowance in place for those dire straits.  Enough to cover a modest rental, some food, drink and a means, an opportunity to have a new start.  Maybe some TAFE or university for those battling and willing to give it a go.  Capitalism and communism have been in battle for long enough.  It is time to disarm and negotiate.

We are able to have a free country, free from Imperial ties and free from oppression with the liberties of speeh, religion and market, while still ensuring some basic human dignity.  There is no need to beg, steal or kill.  State intervention to supply to those who are really disadvantaged and unable to compete without a helping hand.  The promise of endless support does in fact take away any little motivation to work and compete in the rat race, however a little bit of tax money directed at those who have been left to fester in the gutters world would go a long way in preserving the security of those who are able.  In the pursuit of greatest happiness for greatest number, we have to ensure that those that are unable to compete in a free market have the right, the basic human right of sustenance.  No matter how much we try to limit our desire in the philosophy of right thought, right action, every human in the world, including those in Nairobi and Bombay, deserve to receive their basic sustenance.  Following Buddhist philosophy of right thought right action, it is only right to endeavor to tax the rich and give out a basic sustenance to those that are disadvantaged.

SANITARY LIVING CONDITIONS

Some people in the world haven’t got access to basic plumbing for clean drinking water and sewerage.  Without these essentials, health deteriorates.  The superior West has the responsibility, the duty of care to rectify the situation.  As it is the west, the Imperials of Europe that decided to pillage in the global south, it is they who have to bear the burden   of reparations.  If not reparations, then out of respect for human fraternity.  A bond, if you may exists between all humans.  It is out of the bond, that those able should endeavor to uphold the basic rights of every citizen in this world.  It is not asking too much to deliver taps and toilets and showers for the seven billion in this world.  Without the advanced sciences of the Northwest, we cannot give taps, and toilets and showers to everyone.  While we indulge in lobster and wine, it is not asking too much from us to limit our consumption so that some poor child in the Sahara can have access to basic sanitary living conditions.

The body needs to excrete waste.   A toilet is a luxury to a lot people in this world.   The poor have to squat near a river or a tree to do their business.   When they want to go there next, their pile of dodo is still there.   This gets extremely unhealthy from which disease and death occur.   Mortality is high and at earlier ages in the south and east, except for China, Russia, Japan and the small islands of Singapore and Kuala lampur.   It is the access to technology, a language of the literate.   We have to teach them to make their own infrastructure; however that may take twenty to fifty years as witnessed in the above-mentioned states, after World War.   We have responsibility to intervene and negotiate some aid in development, however instead of handing out cash American dollars, it would be more effective to sent in civilian trades people to build cities of the future complete with plumbing, electricity, gas, road, rail, bridges, dams, garbage trucks and hospitals

SECURITY AND PEACE

We need social contract.   Many a philosopher discussed social contract, the need to submit our sovereignty for security.   Without social contract, we are left in the state of nature, where every man for himself.   A jungle with no law.   A jungle where there are no comforts and man fight like beast over trifling matters.   We need the right to sleep at night in peace without trespass by neighbor or state.   We need to be able to conduct daily business of contributing to the economy and consumption without fear of trespass by neighbor or state.   For this security and peace, we all need to submit our individual sovereignty and adhere to global social contract.   Thou shall not kill has already been discussed earlier as a basic law.   No war is just.   Whether it be or not a legitimate reason behind the conflict, conflict by means of weapons, and resulting in death is unacceptable.   Whether it be a petty drug deal gone wrong or a religious conflict or a political ideological debate turned wrong, violence is not the answer.   As the legendary Gandhi preached non-violence and resolved a major problem of imperial rule that lasted for centuries, the core valve of this dissertation is adherence of a strict policy of non-violence.

Everyone has the freedom to follow whichever religion they wish and enjoy their freedom of speech.   The philosophy of right thought and right action is the basis of creating the rules considered appropriate by general consensus.   I will not spell out each and every law applicable to establish social contract.   That can be up to the elders of our civilization to discuss, debate and vote for the rest of the lay what is deemed acceptable.   It will be democratic.   As there are inadequacies by a certain percent of the population to be able to reason, not all members of society will vote.   However the selected ministers of each constituent will have a team of council representatives to liaise with the community and recommend on suitable laws that are appropriate for the given situation and conditions of that time and place, giving utmost importance to preserve culture of indigenous and ethnic groups.   This is the way of life.   There has to be a little give and a little take.   A slight compliance to a reasonable condition to enjoy the luxurious available from all over the globe for everyone in the world.   Submit individual sovereignty of trespass upon another and enjoy the right of security from trespass by another.

ECONOMICS

Organization has separated our people for generations now.   Since the beginning of time, we would have had conflict within social relations due to the problem of sharing.   Sharing the catch of the day is difficult, when there is little to go around.   It is evident within the junkees of the ghettos when they share drugs.   It is also evident within large families.   It is also evident with interstate relations on a global scale.   The problem of receiving a fair share in return.   There is scarcity and hence the problems of not having enough to go around for everyone and the problem of not receiving ones fair share.   There is scarcity in economics and it is true tat it is difficult to accommodate everyones needs, however with the wonders of industrialization and the digital revolution, we have with us the sciences that can help manage the demand and supply.   It is as simple as a spreadsheet and a database application.   Introduce an identity card system that can monitor all demand and supply of the individual and we have a means to supply to the demand of the entire population.   We already have paypal, escrow and visa paypass.   We have the means.

NEOLIBERALISM

With seven billion people we need some forms of managing the demand and supply.   We have seven billion people with the basic needs for shelter and food.   With the requirement of shelter comes the liberty of privacy and the right to own property.   There are economics ideologies that profess communal ownership, however there are problems that arise from that as well.   This dissertation asserts that there is a need for the basic liberty of private property.   The analysis has been done and Australia with its’ private property and government housing for those that are unable provides the best means to organize property.   Given, there are the problems of landlords and tenants for those who are unable to afford property and given, there is the problem of loans from banks and other private lenders for the twenty five year mortgage which brings about the problem of interest, capital gains and inflation, however the people of western states who own and rent property are generally wealthier and happier.   There is no easy solution to the problems of organization, however we have lessons from history and neoliberalism has come out the winner

As the two extreme ideologies of communism and capitalism have been in battle for the last century with a conflict of arms at every turn, the leaders of tomorrow, the young adults of today have to congregate and devise a solution to our problems of organization.  The solution to our dilemma comes with the Buddhist philosophy of the middle path.  We have to take the benefits of each ideology and meet in the middle.  We will concede private property.  However I believe that the government should hold onto and manage some essential services like road, rail, electricity, gas and water.  Yes, we believe free markets of the west will foster innovation and deliver better services with competition, however essential utilities and services like health and education ought to remain within government control.  Australia with its neoliberal philosophies has proven to be the richest and happiest state in the present day world.   Holding healthcare and education in the government hands ensures that the population is healthy and educated, leading to a happier people.   Even though essential utilities ought to be state controlled, the people will have the choice in the market place.  The freedom to go the supermarket and choose what to eat, drink and wear will be held with the utmost respect.

DEMOCRACY

The best regime has been discussed by many a philosopher and each system has its merits.  Even though the media showcases the English Prince and Princess trotting around the globe with fans all over the world, not many people favor monarchies.  Monarchies have existed in the past.  There was no better way in the past.  Feudal monarchies take what they want and reign with the iron fist.  Not that there is anything wrong with the iron fist, however there needs to be a little compassion.  It is not fair to live in castles, dining on lobster and wine, while the general population have no access to a basic shelter with sanitary plumbing.  History shows that the British subjects were eating porridge three times a day, if they were lucky, while the British Queen would trot around the globe pillaging from each nation.  It is not fair.  Nobody votes in a monarch.  They fight and take the throne.  Most of the monarchies have been torn down for the better.  Then there’s the problem of the dictator.  A dictator is no different to a king.  A king will design a fancy constitution to hide his power, however there is no difference between a monarchy and dictatorship.

The people do not choose a king or a dictator.   By aggressive means, they take power.   This would not be such a bad idea, however history shows that dictators and Kings are not fair and do not rule with love.   They are driven by greed and power and they can never have enough.   Hobbes asserts that a monarchy is the best regime, and I would be a fit King as I believe I would rule with the heart, however will concede my Kingdom to democratic rule.   Let the people choose their leadership.   Western democracies have proved to be wealthier and happier.   Therefore this dissertation advocates for democratic rule.   There is the problem that the people are not able to make decision or every matter on the table.   The idea of the referendum on important issues is a good idea.  Protests on government action are deemed appropriate as a non-violent means of voicing an opinion.   And the local council members ought to open their doors to their people to voice their opinion.   This dissertation provides an overview of the best regime, however the fine details of the checks and balances to avoid corruption and power blocs will be left to the chosen government to decide upon.

FEDERATION

Conflict is inherent in social relations.   As we endeavor to enjoy the riches of the globe, we encounter conflict.   There are problems with trade on a global scale.   It would be nice to be able to enjoy the riches of the globe without any interference.   This dissertation advocates for free trade globally.   In order to practice global free trade, there a few problems that have to be ironed out.   This is only possible with a federation of individual states.   A submission of state sovereignty is essential to a lasting peace where we are able to share regional luxuries.   There are the problems of economic and religion that have been addressed already, however need reiteration.   Law and order of social contact is vital.   The people shall be heard and the government ought to be tolerant.   There shall be various cultures and we by no means intend to diminish local cultures and homogenize.   Greater diversity in culture brings about greater choice of luxuries around the globe.   There ought to be free choice of religion, as long as id does not interfere with the liberties of another being, including beast.   As for economic organization, the world federated government ought to be tolerant and allow for extreme ideologies to be practiced regionally, as the correct path is still unknown!

The main goal of the world federation is to control all arms.   To control all conflict with one army.   One defence force across the globe.   One police force across the globe.   All conflict ought to be managed by the world federation.   Many a philosopher have discussed social contract and a global social contract is taking that concept one step further in this globalized world.   We all want peace.   We all want happiness.   In order to achieve this happiness in peace, we all need some sort of sense of security.   This can only be achieved with a world federation.   A world police who can intervene in any conflict around the globe to maintain peace.   There ought to be an international court of justice to preside over global interstate affairs.   History has shown that interstate relations always end in conflict.   There are a number of factors, apart from economics and religions that affect interstate relations and have been addressed in other articles.   A general analysis of world affairs shows that democracy is vital in avoiding conflict.   The people need to choose what is best for them.   After the circulation of this dissertation, these ought to be a global referendum for a non-violent revolution of a new world order!

JUSTICE

Justice has also been discussed by many a philosopher.   Every state has some form of law and order designed to deliver justice.   With the diversity of culture across the globe, there are various forms of justice in play.   Some take justice into their own hands and that is wrong.  Right and wrong is debatable and ought to be decided by the people in a democratic world.   As we are recommending a democratic world federation, the people ought to decide on what forms of justice they wish.   As there is divine justice evident in some cultures, the theory of karma and reincarnation, this dissertation asserts that there is a God and he is responsible for justice.   Unfortunately we are unable to leave all the work of delivering justice to God.   In order to create a peaceful society, rapists and murderers ought to be locked up.   We cannot have a world where there is violence in society.   We do not condone capital punishment as that is a violation of the liberty of another life.   Even though one has breached the liberty of life of another, two wrongs do not make a right.

REVENGE IS SIN

Two wrong do not make a right.  There is a lot of wrong doings on this little planet.   Whether it be a drug deal of the junkees of this world gone wrong, or jealousy of a sexual nature, revenge is sin!  There is a Lord sitting in the heavens and he is watching.   He is within all of us.   He puts us through several tests of mortality.   He is our judge.   Our reword is heaven.   Our testing ground is the Earth we walk upon.   When we do wrong, there is the concept of Karma.   If we do wrong it shall be punished by the Lord Almighty.   There is no need to take on the responsibility of judge, jury and extortioner.   That is too much responsibility for any one man.   That is not our job.   That is the job of Almighty Lord.   There have been many cases where a woman is assaulted and revenge is sought.   There are many cases when a man is assaulted and revenge is sought.   An eye for an eye.   A tooth for a tooth.   This means of delivering justice is a sin and will be punished by the Almighty Lord.

On a global scale, there are wrongs done within interstate relations.   When a western democracy retaliates to a wrong, it is wrong.   For example, the American response to 911 was revenge in it’s purest form.   Pride is a sin.   Form an injury of their pride, the Americans toppled the Saddamn government, hunted down Osama and tore the entire middle east apart.   Given the governments of the middle east were in turmoil, and given, the most likely culprit of all were the Arabs, however given reasonable doubt, while preaching international institutions to negotiate peace, the Americans came out looking like the bad guys.   To cite another example, lets look at the European wars in the past three centuries.   As greedy feudal monarchs reigned at the time, they were all anxious of aggressive neighbors, while secretly desiring more territory and resources.   As one state would be vanquished in battle, they world hide their resentment, sign a peace treaty and prepare for revenge in their next battle.   One wins, one loses.   In the next battle, the tables turn.   At the end of the day nobody wins.   Not a single person will be able to tell you what the conflict was about, but revenge is necessary.

TRESPASS SHALL BE PUNISHED

Having said that revenge is sin and karma is the work of the Almighty Lord, trespass shall be punished by state.  Some people in this world are consumed by the workings of the devil and an insatiable urge to do wrong.  Some wrong can be overlooked.  Some wrong can be cautioned.  However some people do not have an understanding of right and wrong.  As these people probably are suffering from hallucinations, voices of the devil in their head, they should probably be locked up in the psych ward.  They probably need a pastor more than they need medication, however we are not here to debate psychiatric medication.  Trespass upon anothers liberties ought to be punished.  The most severe cases of assault and murder ought to deliver heavy jail terms.  ‘Thou shall not kill’ has been recognized as divine law and is also recognized by pretty much every state in the world.  Trespass upon anothers liberty to life will be punished by the state.  There is no need to take the responsibility of judge, jury and executioneer into ones own hands and there is no need to wait for karma to punish.  The state will impose a suitable jail term for offenders.

Similarly, every state has the liberty not to be invaded by neighboring states.   This has been problematic for centuries.   This dissertation advocates for a world federation for purpose of security and peace.   All military personnel and machinery ought to be managed by a central authority.   If however, there is a leader who is charismatic enough to gather an army with nationalistic or religious ideals, and trespasses upon another states people, that will be punished by the global defence force.   There may be the day when the world federation encounters rebels demanding reform.   Peaceful protest will be tolerated, however if these rebels pick up arms and threaten to kill or actually assault and kill, their trespasses shall be punished.   There shall be fair trials, with judge and jury.   However there will not be an executioner.   Revenge is sin and there is the commandment from Moses, ‘thou shall not kill’.   Humans are not to kill another or beast for any reason.   Justice shall be delivered by Almighty Lord.   In the interim, we cannot have murderers and rapists, who propagate violence, to roam the streets.   Therefore incarceration for those who trespass upon the liberties of another.

GOOD SHALL BE REWARDED

GOOD SHALL BE REWARDED

Good shall be rewarded when we accept that for us to enjoy our life, one created in his own image, his children for who he has been there, within our hearts, minds and bodies, growing us like one would nurture a hydroponic plant, enough light, enough darkness, enough gravity, enough air, enough water, enough oil, enough corn and enough barley.   We can ferment and create wine, we can mine, refine, and create various precious metals and alloys to enable us to create cities and empires and civilizations, with the help of science, the medical, mechanical, numerical, electronic and manufacturing.   We have mastered road, rail, sea, air and space! We have charts of the universe, however little is known.   There are beings in other atmospheres on other planets with sciences that are much more advanced.   A letter to my son.   This is the voice of God.   You are in the house of God.   Peace be on Earth!
