RATIONALISM – AN INTRODUCTION

Conflict is inherent is social relations.  As we go about our everyday business of trade and consumption, we inevitably engage in conflict with our neighbor.  This conflict is hardly a new concept.  Conflict has been ripe since the beginning of time whether one looks at Biblical literature or philosophical literature.  In order to subdue the conflict, law and order has been considered by many a philosopher and priest.   As the organization of large masses is difficult, church and state have had their fair share of conflict.  With all the conflict between different groups of religion, it is difficult to manage the state with church.  The church however has divine law.   Although the credibility of these religions texts can be questioned, they make sense.  Some customs are a little extreme and we have to learn to be tolerant of other cultures in this globalized world.   Law and order is important in any advanced civilization and we need to establish some basic rules for living.  While adhering to social contract, we would still like to maintain some liberties and it ought to be so.

From the Arab spring to the occupy movement, the world has seen many a revolution in embryonic stage.  There has been a lack of leadership, organization and rational philosophical solutions to address the problems of modern day society.  This dissertation aims to fill that gap by providing an elaborate plan to eliminate conflict within social relations.  By addressing church within state, we need to simplify the immense amount of literature available for the layman.  By accommodating all available religious teachings, our goal is to provide a simple set of instructions for all mankind.   As the major battle ove the last half-century has been of an ideological nature, we will concede that free markets will prevail, however we will advocate for some basic human rights, such as a basic sustenance for every human around the globe.  It has been stressed in political articles that democratic states are generally more peaceful and hence our utopia will be democratic.  As idealists, we will also be advocating for a world federation of states to escape the Hobbesian jungle.  Finally, revenge is considered sin and trespass shall be punished.
